Kaamya Varagur and Vikram Pothuri’s story began with a sense of familiarity long before they officially met. Though they both studied at Princeton University and shared many mutual friends, it wasn’t until medical school orientation at Washington University in St. Louis that their paths truly crossed. From that very first meeting, there was an immediate spark.

Over the next five years, they navigated the challenges and joys of medical school side by side, building a partnership rooted in shared ambition, humor, and deep care for one another. Their journey continued as they couples matched to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for residency, beginning an exciting new chapter together.

At the end of their intern year, Vikram planned a trip to Tuscany, Italy—where, surrounded by rolling hills and iconic Tuscan pines, he asked Kaamya to marry him. She said yes, marking the start of their next adventure.
